Home Health Education Service is dedicated to strengthening the home through health and character education; provides a wide range of publications that meet that need of making the Bible easy to understand and relevant to the problems of contemporary living.

Home Health Education Service -NTUC

Historically Home Health Education Service started in January, 1994 as Tanzania Adventist Book Center (TABC) under the former Tanzania Union Mission of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. TABC operated for about six years which ended in May, 2000 and since then TABC was entrusted to the management of the Tanzania Adventist Press (TAP) up to December, 2007. It was a big challenge to run TAP and TABC under one management which prompted for the solution which was to start HHES in order to cater for ABC’s/Book depositories and Literature Evangelists in a better way.

On early January, 2008 in a very humble beginning Home Health Education Service (HHES) Tanzania Union was organized with two workers Manager and Treasurer and one personnel. To begin with, HHES was given an inventory worthy of 89 million.
HHES under this new management worked very hard to the extent that it managed to provide benefits for Literature Evangelists and other workers.

Toward the end of 2013 there was a split of Tanzania Union Mission which resulted in having two organized Unions; Northern Tanzania Union Conference (NTUC) and Southern Tanzania Union Mission (STU).
This split of the Union resulted also to the split of the Home Health Education Service which took place on March, 2015; therefore we currently have;

  • Home Health Education Service in Southern Tanzania Union Mission (HHES -STUM)

1. What Is the Sabbath According to the Bible?

According to the Bible, the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week, set apart by God as a holy day for rest, worship, fellowship with Him, and doing good.
The Bible tells us that God completed His work of creation in six days and rested on the seventh day. He blessed the seventh day and made it holy:
“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.” — Genesis 2:3 The Sabbath is also included in the Ten Commandments. In Exodus 20:8–11, God commands His people to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
Jesus also emphasized the purpose of the Sabbath when He said: “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” — Mark 2:27

2. What Does the Bible Say About the Condition of a Person After Death?

According to the Bible, death is a state of unconsciousness, often compared to sleep. A person who has died no longer participates in the activities of life on earth.
The Bible says: “For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing.” — Ecclesiastes 9:5
It also says: “The dead do not praise the Lord, nor any who go down into silence.” — Psalm 115:17
Jesus compared death to sleep when speaking about Lazarus: “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go to awaken him.” — John 11:11
Therefore, according to the Bible, a person who has died is not conscious or continuing to live a normal life in the spiritual world. The Christian hope is in the resurrection, when Jesus Christ returns.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven... And the dead in Christ will rise first.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16

3. How Is Biblical Baptism Performed?

According to the Bible, baptism is an act of faith that demonstrates a person’s belief in Jesus Christ, repentance from sin, and commitment to begin a new life with Christ. The Bible indicates that baptism was performed by immersion in water. Jesus Himself was baptized in the Jordan River, and after His baptism, He came up out of the water:
“And when Jesus was baptized, immediately He went up from the water.” — Matthew 3:16
In Romans 6:3–4, baptism is presented as a symbol of dying to the old life and beginning a new life in Christ. Before baptism, a person is also called to believe, repent, and receive instruction in the Christian faith. Jesus instructed His disciples:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them...” — Matthew 28:19
Therefore, according to the Bible, baptism involves faith in Christ, repentance, instruction, and immersion in water as a symbol of a new life with Jesus.

4. What Is the Three Angels’ Message?

The Three Angels’ Message is found in Revelation 14:6–12. It is a message from God to humanity calling people to worship Him, remain faithful to Him, and prepare for the return of Jesus Christ.
The First Angel: proclaims the everlasting gospel and calls people to fear God, give Him glory, and worship Him as the Creator of heaven and earth (Revelation 14:6–7).
The Second Angel: announces that Babylon has fallen (Revelation 14:8). This message warns against religious and spiritual systems that lead people away from God’s truth.
The Third Angel: gives a solemn warning against worshiping the beast and its image and receiving its mark, emphasizing the importance of remaining faithful to God (Revelation 14:9–11).
“Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” — Revelation 14:12
In Summary
The Three Angels’ Message is a call to worship the true God, reject false worship, remain faithful to God’s Word, and prepare for the return of Jesus Christ.

5. Why Are We Here on Earth?

According to the Bible, we are on Earth to know God, love Him, serve Him, and reflect His character to others. Our lives have meaning and purpose, and God calls us to live with faith, love, and a commitment to doing good.
The Bible says: “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.’” — Genesis 1:26
Jesus also said: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” — Matthew 22:37
The Bible also teaches that we should use our lives to serve others and do good: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works...” — Ephesians 2:10
Therefore, the purpose of life is not simply to pursue wealth, success, or pleasure, but to have a relationship with God, serve others, and live a life that honors Him.
In summary: We are here on Earth to know God, love Him, serve Him, help others, and prepare for eternal life with Him.
